Advantages of cold stamping head

  Cold stamping usually uses a hydraulic press and a die to press the sheet metal at room temperature, so that the sheet metal is plastically deformed to obtain a part with a certain shape, size and performance. In the 21st century, with the rapid development of the automobile and defense industries, cold stamping processing technology has developed rapidly. Cold stamping can be used to process metal sheets and non-metals that cannot withstand high temperatures. It is widely used in the production of various stamping parts. The cold stamping process has a particularly wide range of applications in automobile manufacturing, home appliance production, missile, aircraft and electronics industries. For example, as many as 70% of parts and components in automobile production are obtained through cold stamping. Now with the improvement of mold precision, precision cold stamping has been more and more widely used. Precision cold stamping technology is a green and environmentally friendly forming technology, which can greatly reduce energy consumption and production costs compared with previous processes. Precision cold stamping is bound to have great development prospects.

  Compared with other processes, such as spinning and hot stamping, the cold stamping process has many advantages in terms of technology and economic effects. At the same time, cold stamping also has some shortcomings. The main characteristics of the cold stamping process are as follows:

  (1) High-efficiency production, up to thousands of parts per minute, so cold stamping is suitable for mass production of parts;

  (2) Cold stamping is to stamp the sheet at room temperature, so the energy consumption is relatively low, the environmental pollution is small, and it is a green processing method;

  (3) Cold stamping products have better forming quality, high surface accuracy, no oxide scale, and easier cleaning;

  (5) When cold stamping is formed, the product produces a lot of plastic deformation, so the material is required to have high plasticity;

  (6) Cold stamping has high requirements for mold accuracy, and mold costs are relatively high;

  (7) The sheet after cold stamping is prone to springback due to residual stress;

  (8) Cold stamping forming is prone to excessive wall thickness reduction due to the large amount of plastic deformation of the sheet metal;

  (9) Cold stamping is prone to defects such as bulging, wrinkling, cracking, and springback. Because the cold stamping process has so many advantages, the cold stamping process is used to form the 304L dish-shaped head.
